The Hillsdale Shopping Center North Block Reconfiguration Project included demolition of an existing Sears Building and the new construction of five (5) two-story buildings with full basements and a fully occupied connecting bridge.
The new buildings include retail, dining terrace, upper end restaurants, a luxury cinema and a bowling alley. The buildings are built around an open plaza for a “California Outdoor Urban Living” type shopping experience.
GMRV served as Owner's Representative for this project.
The award winning Menlo Gateway is a 2-phase development comprising three office buildings built to LEED Gold Standards, along with three garages and a fitness center with Facebook as the sole tenant. Hotel Nia, a 4-star hospitality property completes the campus.
GMRV and Bohannon Development worked closely with Facebook to create a vibrant environment for Facebook’s employees both in and out of the office. Heller Manus Architects delivered an integrated and consistent design throughout that includes full kitchens and dining areas in each office building, well-manicured public areas, and well-directed traffic flow enabling Facebook employees to congregate, collaborate and innovate.
Pac Bell Park/Oracle Park

China Basin Ballpark Company, LLC was established by the San Francisco Giants
Baseball Association for the development of Pacific Bell Park, now Oracle Park, a
privately financed development in downtown San Francisco, which is the premier facility
for Major League Baseball.
GMRV principal(s) directed all development activities during the entitlement, design, construction, and start-up phases of the project and managed the activities of completion guarantor, general contractor, architect, consultants, and city agencies.
Oracle Park (formerly Pac Bell and AT&T Park) was chosen as the 2008 Sports Facility
of the Year by Sports Business Journal and Sports Business Daily as part of the
inaugural Sports Business Awards program. The first privately financed ballpark in
Major League Baseball since 1962, the Giants home has many incredible features.
Resort At Squaw Creek

GMRV principal(s) served as contract administrator and owner’s representative and assisted the Director of Construction during project development.
Squaw Valley Creek Associates was established by Perini Land & Development Company for the development of a resort hotel including 18-hole golf course; ski lift; four restaurants; three bars; 405 guest suites; a 25 room conference center; $2 million audio/visual package; $3.5 million pool/spa complex; and a full 12 store retail build-out.

GMRV drafted the Presidio Strategy calling for the creation of the Presidio Trust and showed the ability for The Presidio to be cash flow positive within 15 years. This was achieved.
Fillmore Heritage Center

A mixed-use development of commercial/entertainment space featuring Yoshi’s Jazz Club & Japanese Restaurant; the 1300 on Fillmore Restaurant & Lounge; 80 residential condominium units; and a 112-car public parking garage.
GMRV principal(s) oversaw construction management for the project from 2005 to 2008.
The Fillmore Heritage Center opened in 2007, promising economic stimulation and
cultural renewal for a once predominantly black neighborhood crushed by
redevelopment in the 1960s. Its anchor tenant, jazz club Yoshi’s, harkened to the
district’s past life as “Harlem of the West.”
